Mercedes-Benz is gearing up to launch a new platform for its luxury electric vehicles (EVs), starting in 2026. This new platform will support the next-generation battery-powered C-Class and GLC models, which Mercedes predicts will significantly boost their EV sales.
Markus Schäfer, Chief Technology Officer at Mercedes-Benz, said, "Our new platform is a big step in our move towards electric cars. We expect our new electric C-Class and GLC to really drive our sales up starting in 2026. These cars will bring new standards to the luxury electric vehicle market."
The new EVs will combine Mercedes’ luxury and cutting-edge electric technology, aiming to appeal to customers who want both elegance and sustainability. Mercedes-Benz is focusing on making high-end electric cars that meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly vehicles.
