Future Electric Cars: Upcoming EVs

Electric vehicles (EVs) are rapidly transforming the automotive landscape, with new models and concepts emerging each year. Both established automakers and new players like Lucid, Canoo, and Rivian are diving into the electric revolution. Here’s a glimpse of the EVs set to hit the market soon:

Acura Performance EV (Expected: 2025)  

Acura is preparing to launch its next electric crossover, built on a new EV architecture developed by Honda. Production will begin in Ohio, with sales scheduled for late 2025.

Alfa Romeo Giulia EV (Expected: 2026)  

Alfa Romeo is updating its Giulia sedan with an electric powertrain. Sales are expected to begin in 2026.

Audi Q6 e-tron (Expected: Late 2024) 

The Audi Q6 e-tron will be based on the PPE architecture, which is also used by the Porsche Macan EV. Sales are anticipated to start at the end of 2024.

Bentley EV (Expected: 2027)  

Bentley’s first EV will utilize Volkswagen Group’s PPE platform. Sales are expected to begin in 2027.

BMW i5 M (Expected: 2026)

The upcoming BMW i5 M will be a high-performance, four-motor EV with 1,136 horsepower, featuring advanced driving capabilities such as “piloted drifting” and “tank turns.” Sales are planned for 2026.

Chevrolet Corvette EV and SUV (Expected: 2025)  

Chevrolet is expanding the Corvette lineup with an all-electric version and plans to establish a Corvette sub-brand, which may include high-performance SUV models. Sales are expected in 2025.

Rivian R2 (Expected: 2026)

Following the success of its larger models, Rivian is introducing the R2, a compact electric SUV. Sales are planned for 2026.
