In the third quarter of 2024, Tesla's Cybertruck became the third best-selling electric vehicle in the United States, trailing only the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y in sales.

According to automotive research company Kelley Blue Book, Cybertruck sales totaled over 16,000 units. During the same period, Ford sold approximately 7,000 F-150 Lightnings and just 13,000 Mustang Mach-E SUVs. General Motors' new Blazer and Equinox EVs experienced some success, but the company ultimately sold only 32,000 EVs in total for the quarter. Rivian produced around 3,800 units of its electric pickup.
