Tesla Plans to Sell 2.2 to 2.4 Million EVs in 2025
Nov 6, 2024
Tesla plans to sell between 2.2 and 2.4 million electric vehicles (EVs) in 2025. This ambitious growth target represents a significant increase from the expected 1.85 million sales in 2024. The Cybertruck, launched in 2024, is expected to play a major role in this growth, with Tesla forecasting production of around 125,000 units in 2025—more than double the delivery numbers from its first year.
With new models and a strategy focused on scaling production, Tesla is laying the foundation to reach its annual goal of 20 million EVs by 2030.
In 2023, Tesla set a target to sell at least 1.8 million vehicles.
The result: the company exceeded this goal, delivering approximately 1,808,581 vehicles, marking a 38% year-over-year increase.
Tesla has not disclosed specific targets for 2024, but CEO Elon Musk has indicated that sales in 2024 are expected to surpass those in 2023.
The result: In the first three quarters of 2024, Tesla delivered a total of 1,293,656 vehicles.
