Renault's new R5 EV merges classic design with cutting-edge electric technology. Measuring 3.9 meters (12.8 feet), it offers two battery options—40 kWh and 52 kWh—with fast DC charging capabilities of 80 kW and 100 kW, enabling a 15-80% recharge in just 30 minutes.

The design preserves the iconic R5 silhouette, enhanced with modern touches like “winking” headlights and concealed rear door handles. Inside, a 10.25-inch touchscreen features Google navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an interface called Reno for voice commands, with ChatGPT integration available. Sustainable materials are used throughout the cabin, with up to 19.4% recycled content in top models.

Drivers can choose between four modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Individual. A unique steering column-mounted shifter and digital dashboard add to the ease of driving. Renault plans regular updates, ensuring that the R5 remains a vibrant, versatile, and contemporary electric vehicle.
