"Owning EVs Should Be 3 Times Cheaper Than Fuel" - What Does "Da-Tene" Plan?
Sep 23, 2024
Green Energy's subsidiary, "Da-Tene," is set to open the first large-scale electric vehicle (EV) charging station in October, as announced by the company's founder, Davit Shvangiradze, on "Business Morning."
"In early October, we will install 15 charging stations with a capacity of 120 kilowatts each, capable of serving 30 electric cars simultaneously. By the end of the second quarter of 2025, our goal is to expand to 300 charging stations with varying capacities," - said Shvangiradze.
The primary objective of "Da-Tene" is to create attractive spaces where EV drivers can enjoy facilities such as parking for 20-30 cars, dining options, and rest areas, providing a comprehensive and convenient charging experience.
Shvangiradze explained that the idea for "Da-Tene" emerged from his personal experience with electric cars. While EVs offer comfort, the lack of charging infrastructure, especially for regional travel like trips to Batumi, presents significant challenges.
"This issue creates major inconveniences, and we aim to solve this problem within a year so that EV owners in Georgia can drive confidently, knowing they have access to reliable charging options. Our main focus is to make EV ownership advantageous: it should be three times cheaper than owning a fuel-powered car," - Shvangiradze emphasized.
"Da-Tene" charging stations will be strategically placed across Georgia and accessible through a dedicated mobile application, offering a convenient and affordable charging solution for EV drivers.
