Chinese electric car manufacturer BYD plans to acquire the German car distributor Hedin Electric Mobility. The announcement was made by BYD representatives on August 30, following negotiations. This move is part of BYD's strategy to establish itself as the leading electric vehicle brand in Europe.
BYD will directly oversee the planning and execution of marketing and financial activities related to the sales of its electric vehicles in Germany, as well as manage its stores in Stuttgart and Frankfurt.
According to BYD representatives, the agreement is expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of the year. The company is actively expanding its global presence and preparing to open factories in Europe and North America.
BYD anticipates a 20% increase in annual sales and is offering significant discounts on its best-selling models to attract more customers.
