BYD sold a record 419,426 NEVs in September

BYD achieved record-breaking sales in September, delivering 419,426 new energy vehicles (NEVs), marking the fourth consecutive month of record sales.

The company sold 164,956 electric vehicles in September, a 9.1% increase compared to the previous year. Sales of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles reached 252,647 units, reflecting an impressive 86.17% growth year-on-year.

BYD continues to expand in the global market as well. In September, the company sold 33,012 vehicles overseas, a 17.74% increase from the previous year.

From January to September 2024, BYD sold a total of 2,747,875 NEVs, up 32.13% year-on-year. Overseas sales accounted for 297,881 units, marking a 104.7% increase compared to the same period last year.

As a reminder, BYD ceased producing internal combustion engine vehicles in March 2022 to focus on NEVs.
