US EV Registrations Rise 18%

Oct 21, 2024

In August, US electric vehicle (EV) registrations reached a total of 111,952, representing 8.6% of the passenger car market. This marks an 18% increase compared to the same period last year.

The rise in registrations was driven by the launch of new models from General Motors (GM) and the growing interest in the highly anticipated Tesla Cybertruck. GM’s expanding lineup of EV models, combined with Tesla’s innovations, has drawn in more buyers and significantly contributed to the growth of the US electric vehicle market.

With automakers continuing to release new and innovative EVs, the US electric vehicle market is expected to keep growing in the coming months.
