Hyundai plans to launch its first electric vehicle exclusively for the Chinese market in 2025. This new model will be developed by the company’s research and development centers in collaboration with Chinese suppliers specializing in intelligent driving and smart cockpit technologies.

The upcoming electric vehicle will feature advanced technologies specifically designed to cater to the preferences of Chinese consumers.

The new EV will be produced by Beijing Hyundai Motor Co., a joint venture between Hyundai and the state-owned BAIC Motor Co. Additionally, Hyundai intends to establish a China-only EV brand called "Beijing Hyundai" to boost sales. The brand aims to introduce five electric models over the next three years.
